A grass cover improvement apparatus has a hollow frame (2) with support legs (3), the frame (2) bearing a light source (6) effective to provide growing light to bodies of plant material when present beneath said frame (2). This provides a mobile artificial lighting means which can be moved to particular areas of grass on a sports field so that the grass growth can be promoted in places that receive the most wear when in service. |
