PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for working a building material or the like for conducting working by cutouts in horizontal and vertical directions or additionally in an oblique direction by a single turret head. SOLUTION: The apparatus A for working a building material or the like works the material in a plurality of types by a working tool 41 or 41' mounted at a plurality of heads 39 or 39' by supporting the turret head 5 to a movable frame 2 adjustable to move in a necessary direction. In this case, the turret head 5 is mounted at a turning unit 4 rotatably supported to the frame 2. When the unit 4 is rotated by a rotating mechanism 3, a head drive position D is converted. Thus, a cutting-out direction of the tool 41 or 41' can be converted vertically, horizontally, obliquely or the like.
