PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer element and an ink jet accepting sheet, which especially fits to the acceptance of an image to be printed in accompany with ink, especially water-based ink jet ink including a dye in the use application accompanying with the printing of the information of a picture. SOLUTION: This ink jet printing system is equipped with the combination of the ink jet accepting sheet (a) including a first temporary bearer (1) with a first peeling surface, a first adhesive bond layer (2) on the first peeling surface and an ink accepting layer (3) on the first adhesive bond layer and a transfer element (b) including a second temporary bearer (1) having a second peeling surface and a substantially transparent hydrophobic layer (2) on the second peeling surface.
