ARTIFICIAL BONE MARROW AND METHOD FOR PROLIFERATING HEMOCYTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new artificial bone marrow capable of functioning even in a patient whose function of a bone marrow support cell layer is lowered and acting as a hematopoietic function. SOLUTION: This new artificial bone marrow having a cell including a function of supporting a hematopoiesis is given to a carrier. Further, a method for proliferating a hemocyte comprises the steps of transplanting the bone marrow to an animal or a blood to circulate the blood into the bone marrow out of the animal body to proliferate a hematopoietic stem cell in the bone marrow, and further differentiating the hematopoietic stem cell to the hemocyte. The bone marrow can act as the hematopoietic function even in the patient whose function of the bone marrow support cell is lowered.
