PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily usable and highly functional portable information terminal and body fat ratio measuring method by adding the body fate ratio measuring function to a PIM function of the portable information terminal, and commonly using the telephone function, large memory capacity and display screen of the portable information terminal. SOLUTION: Fig. 1 is a block view showing the structure of this portable information terminal with measuring function. The portable information terminal with measuring function roughly comprises a transmission and receipt control part (hereinafter referred to as PDC part for short) 1, an information processing part (hereinafter referred to as PIU part) 16, and a control UART 17. The PDC part 1 is provided with a radio module 2, an analog base band part 3, and a CPU (second CPU) 4, and the PIU part 16 is provided with a cpu (first CPU) 8, a ram 9, a rom 10, a Nandrom 11, a key board 12, a body fat ratio detection part 13, a G/A 14, an LDC (display part) 15. The UART 17 controls the PDC part 1 and the PIU part 16 to exchange the information possessed by each part. |
