PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge storing device which can be used as a storage stand storing many cartridges and also as a storage case storing cartridges stably. SOLUTION: This cartridge storing device is provided with a back panel 4 and a pair of cover parts 6a, 6b mounted through a hinge 5 on both sides of the back panel 4. On the inside face of the panel 4, a holding means 3 for one side of a cartridge 23 with a built-in recording medium to be inserted and held is provided. The parts 6a, 6b can be opened and closed with the hinge 5 in a center, and on the inside face of the parts 6a, 6b, at least a pair of ribs 22, 22 facing each other are provided. When the part 6a, 6b are opened, one side of the cartridge 23 is inserted to be held between the ribs 22, 22, and when the parts 6a, 6b are closed, the tip end of the rib 22 touches the side face of the cartridge 23 held by the holding means 3 of the back panel 4.
