PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually opening/closing device for a vertical sliding door of an elevator wherein a maintenance person can safely and easily open/ close the vertical sliding door in a landing side. SOLUTION: In this constitution, a rope unit 11 connecting one enc to a balance weight 7 the other end to a vertical sliding door 3a is provided so as to open/close the vertical sliding door 3 by drawing this rope unit 11 at maintenance time.
