PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus having a supporting mechanism and an adjusting mechanism which prevent an optical scanning unit from being deformed in a simple structure. SOLUTION: This copying machine 51 includes photoreceptor drums 222a-222d and LSUs 227a-227d for exposing surfaces of the drums thereby forming electrostatic latent images. The LSUs 227a-227d include an optical component 82 for exposing the drum surfaces and a base 81 where the optical component 82 is set. The LSU is supported by a supporting member 300 to be rotatable about the supporting member 300 and to be prohibited from moving in a horizontal scanning exposure direction. The supporting members 300 are fitted to frames 51a and 51b of the copying machine 51 to extend in the horizontal scanning exposure direction to penetrate the base 81. Moreover, the LSUs are supported by a first fulcrum part 610 near one end parts of the supporting members 300, a second fulcrum part 620 near the other end parts and a third fulcrum part 630 which regulates the rotation of the LSUs.
