摘要 A percussion cap (6) and firing charge (14) are provided in a separate part (4) insertable into the shell base. This part can adopt a first position where the pin (8) is prevented from actuating the percussion cap, and a second position where the cap can be actuated by the pin when the shell (1) hits its target. A detonation device is provided for a shell designed to be fired from a tube (2) using a charge at the shell base, the shell having a main charge (10) which is activated by a pin and percussion cap with an initial charge (7) in the shell tip when the shell hits the target or ground. The percussion cap is located in a separate part from the shell that also contains the firing charge. This part is introduced into the shell via its base and can adopt a first locked position where the percussion cap can be not be activated by the pin, and from which it can be released by a given propulsion force. The part can also adopt a second position in which it is prevented from further movement and in which the pin can actuate the percussion cap when the shell hits its target, causing the main charge to be detonated.
