A built-in unit comprises: a lower part (10) that can be fastened to the wall and has devices for the mounting of high and low current apparatuses; a hood-shaped upper part (30) that can be placed on the lower part and has a cut-out in its front which allows access to the apparatus; and devices for the detachable fastening of the upper part to the lower part that are operable from the front. On the inside of the upper part is formed a sliding path (41). The sliding path possesses a sliding seat (42). In the sliding seat slides a wedge-shaped unlocking cradle (44). The unlocking cradle is to be operated through an opening in the front.
