<p>In a spinning assembly, the condensing zone of the condenser (3) is matched to the drawing unit (1) and a clamping roller (33), so that the start of the condensing action extends selectively into the drawing unit or is directly at the transit from the drawing unit (1) to the condenser (3). Or the start of condensing is at a selected gap offset from the start of the condenser (3) in the sliver movement direction. Preferred Features: The condenser (3) has a section (31) with passages or suction openings in the zone where the sliver (71) is carried between the drawing unit (1) and the spinning station (5) through the condenser unit (31). A suction unit (37) is at the condenser section (31), on the side away from the sliver (71), in or against the line of sliver (71) travel. The suction action is set to position the start of the condensing effect within the main drafting zone or after the end of the main drafting zone at the drawing unit (1). The condenser section (31) is a circular and perforated drum, working with a clamping roller (33) at the outlet end of the drawing unit (1), at the end of the main drafting zone. Its condensing zone is formed by one or more adjacent offset rows of holes, on the direction of sliver (71) travel. A suction unit (37) is at the condenser unit (31) so that its suction opening is at the opposite side of the condenser (31) to the sliver (71). The start of the condensing zone is at the entry of the sliver (71) into the condensing stage (3), formed by an edge in the suction unit (37), against the clamping line (Z) between the clamping roller (31) and the condenser drum (31). The edge can slide to be positioned in front of the clamping line (Z), at the clamping line or after it. The suction unit (37) has a swing movement, to be locked in place in the suction system (4) in the condensing zone (3).</p> |
