<p>A liquid composition, its preparation method, an organic glass prepared from the composition, and an optical product prepared from the glass are provided, to obtain an organic glass having a refractive index of 1.53 or more and satisfactory optical and physical-mechanical properties and dyeing property. The liquid composition comprises the product obtained by performing transesterification reaction of a mixture of diallyl carbonate and phthalic acid ester, and at least one linear or branched polyol containing 2-8C. Preferably the molar ratio of the mixture of diallyl carbonate and phthalic acid ester to the polyol is 2:1 to 7:1, and the transesterification reaction is carried out in the presence of an alkaline catalyst. The liquid composition is polymerizable by the radical polymerization. The organic glass is prepared by the radical polymerization of the liquid composition in the presence of a polymerization initiator at a temperature of 30-120[deg]C for 1-100 hours. Preferably the polymerization initiator is peroxide.</p> |
