摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature compensating device for optical communication with optical parts bonded at a low temperature, without impairing their characteristics and fixed without varying tension applied to the grating part of an optical fiber. SOLUTION: The temperature compensating device is obtained by fixing optical parts having a positive coefficient of thermal expansion on a substrate, having a negative coefficient of thermal expansion of -10×10-7 to -120×10-7/ deg.C in the temperature range of -40 to +100 deg.C with an adhesive comprising an organic polymer and having 2,500-100,000 mPa.s viscosity at 25 deg.C before curing and <=5% degree of shrinkage by curing.
