PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce the amount of stuck toner at a waste toner recovery port in a waste toner recovery device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a waste toner recovery unit 3 for recovering waste toner, a waste toner recovery container 111 which is arranged below the unit 3 and in which the waste toner recovery port communicating with a waste toner discharge port is formed to store the waste toner put into the unit 3, a shutter 212 installed to freely rock between the waste toner discharge port and the waste toner recovery port and opening/closing a channel for the waste toner leading from the unit 3 to the container 111, a vibrating means 113 for vibrating the container 111 by imparting inertial force in one direction, and a rack gear 213 for rocking the shutter 212 by the vibrating action of the container 111 by the vibrating means 113.
