PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of sealed lead-acid batteries excellent in the productivity and battery performance in case that a solution composed by dispersing granular silica and diluted sulfuric acid is injected, and only surplus electrolytic solution is discharged from a discharge port. SOLUTION: In the sealed lead-acid battery, the solution composed by dispersing the granular silica in dilute sulfuric acid is injected from an injection port of the battery, and surplus dilute sulfuric acid in the battery is discharged from the discharge port. Thereby, filling of the granular silica and injection of sulfuric acid are performed simultaneously. A filter composed of glass fiber is arranged on an inner face of a battery jar surface having the discharge port, wherein an area of the filter contacting to the inner face is 70% or more of that of the inner face, and an average hole diameter of the filter is 5 to 30μm.
