PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to easily correct the color balance when a specified image is to be obtained by irradiating an electrooptical device with light, a means to decrease deterioration of the electroooptical device due to light, and to provide a device constitution which can form a color image of high quality by using an electrooptical device to constitute a projection type display device. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal panel 10, transparent substrates 1, 2 made of glass or the like are preliminarily adhered with a transparent adhesive on the outer faces of a device substrate 11 and a counter substrate 12, respectively. Optical filter layers 1b, 2b are formed on the outer faces of the transparent substrates 1, 2, respectively. The panel assembly consisting of the liquid crystal panel 10 and transparent substrates 1, 2 are housed in a panel case 20. |
