PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a center core in the center position at the time of housing and to absorb shock to a cartridge case, in a magnetic disk cartridge obtained by housing a disk-like magnetic disk medium provided with the center core in a flat cartridge case in a rotatable manner. SOLUTION: An annular part 65 is formed on the upper surface of the center core 11, and an elastic member 36 provided with a disk-like part 37 having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of this part 65 at its lower end is fixed to the center position of the lower surface of an upper cover case. At the time of housing the cartridge, the part 37 of this member 36 is engaged with the inner surface of the part 65 of the center core 11 elastically.
