PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door so designed that shutters are prevented from colliding with the opposite member, in a state of being folded, when the door is closed, and a household Buddhist altar, in regard to the door being foldable and openable in two directions. SOLUTION: The door is a double-leaf door having shutters fitted rotatably to the right and left sides of the other member respectively through the intermediary of hinges. Each of the right and left shutters is divided into an inside bend portion and an outside portion and these portions are connected rotatably mutually by the hinge for folding. The shutter of the outside portion is formed of at least two portions in the longitudinal direction, and the right and left shutters are so constituted that the distance from the inside edge end in the inside bend portion to the hinge for folding is smaller than that from the outside edge end in the outside portion to the hinge. The surface edge portion of the portion of contact of the edge end portion of the outside portion of the shutter with the inside bend portion is so shaped as being shaved in uniform thickness in the longitudinal direction of the shutter and the edge end of the inside bend portion is brought into contact with the shaven portion of the edge end of the outside portion, while, as to exposed surfaces, the width of the inside bend portion is made larger than that of the outside portion. The household Buddhist altar uses the door thus constituted.
