PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good looking counter-weight attaching construction by providing a level difference aggressively in left to right direction between platform and house cover or engine hood at the time of the installation of the counter-weight to the slewing frame thereby making the adjustment of the counter-weight in the left-light direction unnecessary and omitting the adjustment of the counter-weight in left-light direction. SOLUTION: An upper slewing body is installed on a lower traveling body in a slewing possible manner, an attachment is pivotally installed in a looking up and down motion possible manner to the front portion of the upper slewing body, in a civil engineering and construction machine loaded with a counter-weight at the rear portion, the end portion at the platform side facing the counter-weight in a plan view is folded to the center side of the machine, a level difference is provided between the end portion of the platform side and the end portion of the counter-weight, also, chamfering is made at the end portion of the house cover or at the end portion of the engine hood side facing the counter-weight, and a level difference is provided between the house cover or the end portion at the hood side and the end portion of the counter-weight side.
