PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an optical axis angle of a light beam that enters the surface of an optical disk to be illuminated or the like without increasing the thickness of a pickup device. SOLUTION: A movable deflecting mirror 12 is constituted to be rotatable around a rotating reference 15 that is parallel to the direction (z-direction) perpendicular to an optical disk D. As a result, a light beam L from between the movable deflecting mirror 12 and a riser mirror 13 is deflected in the radial direction (x-direction) of the optical disk D, thereby preventing the device from becoming thick in the z-direction. |
