PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition coping with environmental problems, and to provide a wiring material and other molded articles which use the same. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprising a prescribed amount of (A) a thermoplastic resin component comprising (a) a vinyl aromatic compound-conjugated diene block copolymer, (b) a softening agent, (c) ethylene-α- olefin copolymer, (d1) at least one kind of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, and an ethylene-(meth)acrylate copolymer, (e) polypropylene resin, (f) a modified polyethylene resin, and (p) an acrylic rubber, and (g) a prescribed amount of an organic peroxide, (h) a prescribed amount of a cross-linking auxiliary, and (B) a prescribed amount of a metal hydroxide, wherein the metal hydroxide is pretreated with a prescribed amount of silane coupling agent, characterized by being heated and kneaded at a temperature above the melting temperature of (A) the thermoplastic resin component. |
