<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration and modification method where the surface or interface of the wastes of magnetic material and hydrogen storage material, metal, alloy, and intermetallic compound which are deteriorated by oxidation, is subjected to reduction treatment or to removal of metal compounds by volatili zation. SOLUTION: The deterioration part (oxides, etc.) occurring at the surface or interface of the material of a type of metal, alloy and intermetallic compound material is reduced by a metal baser than the component metal thereof, or the halides, hydrides, etc., of the component metal are removed by volatilization under reduced pressure or under high temperature. Further, the metallic components constituting the material are introduced again, by which the metal, alloy, and intermetallic compound constituting the material can be regenerated and the function of the material can be recovered.</p> |
