PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically transmit a common operation parameter between a plurality of functional modules without the intervention of a control program operating on an external microprocessor. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a feeding part to read image data in a prescribed order from an image data memory and feed image data sequentially to a coding part through an input interface, a coding part to perform the compressed coding of the image data, a storage part to store coded data in a coding data memory through an output interface, a behavior parameter setup part to set the value of the common operation parameter required for the compressed coding to any one of the storage part, the feeding part or the coding part, and a control data transmission part to transmit the value of the common operation parameter set by any one of internal registers to other internal registers to which the parameter is not set. |
