PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that allows diversified client terminals to receive optimum contents in response to their screen sizes, can reduce resources without the need for an exclusive means to inform the terminals about terminal information, and is stably in operation under a channel environment with a few bands such as wireless communication channels. SOLUTION: When a plurality of terminals 502, 503 based on H.323 connected to a communication network (an Internet channel 504, a public channel 505) route a gate keeper 507 to conduct communication in compliance with the H.323 connection protocol, the gate keeper 507 records information sent/received at exchange of the terminal capabilities conducted between the terminals 502 and 503.
