PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device with a building block structure whose production cost is inexpensive, which is light weight and is easily assembled, and furthermore, in which the same strength and rigidity as a conventional sheet-metal enclosure can be expected. SOLUTION: This communication device is provided with a basket 11 with a building block structure for housing a electronic devices such as a substrate or a power supply, and blow-molded side plates 12 being provided on the side surfaces of the basket 11 and having reinforcing means. Ribs 15 longitudinally provided in an internal cavity of the side plates 12 are used as the reinforcing means.
