PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition for forming a light scattering film efficiently scattering reflected light in semitransparent or reflective liquid crystal displays, realizing uniform planar lighting having high front brightness, excellent in flattening property, heat resistance and chemical resistance and having excellent adhesion to ITO film. SOLUTION: This composition for forming a light scattering film is obtained by including (A) a copolymer of (a1) at least one carboxylic acid compound selected from the group consisting of unsaturated carboxylic acids and unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydrides, (a2) an unsaturated compound containing an epoxy group and (a3) an olefinically unsaturated compound other than the compounds (a1) and (a2) and (B) resin particles.
