PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for obtaining a digital certificate by using an IC card, which can conveniently, safely and securely obtain the digital certificate. SOLUTION: The system is provide with a certificate accumulation server 5 for accumulating a plurality of digital certificates 6, the IC card 1 having information showing that a person is a legitimate acquisitor on one of a plurality of digital certificates, an IC card reader 2 for reading information that the IC card 1 has and a certificate take-out terminal 3 receiving information that the IC card 1 has and transmitted from the IC card reader 2, transmitting a signal requesting the distribution of the digital certificate 6 corresponding to the relevant information to the certificate accumulation server 5, receiving the digital certificate 6 transmitted from the certificate accumulation server 5 in corresponding to the transmission and setting a system at a state where an end user 7 can obtain the certificate. |
