PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device capable of adequately reduce the unnecessary waiting time for recording. SOLUTION: A processing control part 11 reproduces a CD at a high speed by controlling an optical pickup for the CD or the like, and records the obtained music data on an MD via a magnetic head driver 21 or the like. In this case, if the CD music to be recorded is in a state of high speed recording inhibition, the processing control part 11 reproduces at a high speed the other uninhibited music first and records it on the MD. Namely, the processing control part 11 controls a recording inhibition time of each music according to a recording time table stored in memory 20, and thereby sequentially records music of non-managing objects at a high speed, and then sequentially records the music at a high speed from the one of which the inhibition time has passed. Moreover, after the processing control part 11 recorded the music on the MD at a high speed with the order of the music change, it operates UTOC of the MD to arrange the recorded music according to a specified order. |
