PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect steam humidifier which is compact and enabled of changing humidifying quantity (the quantity of generating steam) and is maintained easily. SOLUTION: This indirect steam humidifier is provided with the humidifying can 10 of a horizontally arranged cylindrical body, of which upper surface is provided with a plurality of humidifying steam outlet holes 11 and storing inside which the humidifying water of predetermined level and a heating tube 15 dipped into the inside of the humidifying can 10 inserting in the direction of axis and heating the humidifying water 12 by a heating medium supplied into the inside of the heating tube 15, and the humidifying steam generated by the humidifying can 10 is supplied through the humidifying steam outlet holes 11.
