PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid holding mechanism which can be assembled simply. SOLUTION: In the lid holding mechanism supported rotatably from a neutral position in both of the directions to be constantly energized in the direction of the neutral position, at least one side of the rotation center axis 1a of a lid is fitted into the U-shaped recess 2a of a holder opening its upper part and a pulling coil spring 4 energizing the lid 1 in the direction of the neutral position is placed between the holder 2 and the lid 1.
