摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head transfer mechanism that permits high-speed access to a desired track on an optical disk by reducing the angular moment generated around the center of gravity of an optical head, avoiding unwanted vibration of the optical head when accessing the desired track on the optical disk, and stabilizing the tracking control of an objective lens actuator. SOLUTION: The information recording/reproducing device is constituted to make the optical head movable in the radial direction of the optical disk, for the purpose of recording and reproducing information by converging an optical beam on the recording face of the disk. The device is equipped with a driving motor as the driving source of an optical head transfer means for moving the optical head in the radial direction of the optical disk and with a conversion means for converting this rotation to a reciprocating straight movement. The device is characterized by the structure in which the center of gravity of the optical head is made to roughly coincide with the engaging part of the transfer means for the optical head.
