PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article for laundering, having higher solubility and strength, and improved in commodity values (e.g. shelf stability and appearance) and in the prevention of shipment of inferior commodities. SOLUTION: This article for laundering is in the form of a sheet having a thickness of at most 15 mm and obtained by packaging a laundering composition comprising a detergent containing a surfactant, a bleaching agent, a softening agent, a sizing agent and the like with a thermoplastic water-soluble film having a total light transmittance in accordance to JIS K 7361-1:1997 of 50-90%.
