PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ti or Si complex dye usable instead of a heavy metal complex dye such as the one of chromium or cobalt, considered to have no problem on the environment, having improved solubility in an organic solvent, and capable of facilitating the application and development as a coloring matter. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by general formula (1), wherein, A is a benzene ring residue which may be substituted or a naphthalene ring residue which may be substituted; B is a benzene ring residue which may be substituted, a naphthalene ring residue which may be substituted, a pyrazolone ring residue which may be substituted or an acetoacetanilide residue which may be substituted; X is -O- or -COO-; NR1R2R3R4 is a quaternary ammonium; R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a 1-18C alkyl group which may be substituted or branched; the quaternary ammonium can be the simple one or the mixed one; M is a titanium atom or a silicon atom; and n is an even number of 2-8).
