PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin material, capable of obtaining the resin material having the surface coated with an inorganic coating, to obtain the resin material obtained by the method and to provide a method for coating the inorganic coating. SOLUTION: This method for producing the resin material comprises a molding process for molding a resin base, a pressure adhesion process for sticking powder or granule of an inorganic substance to the surface of the molded resin base through the force of pressure and a coating process for coating the surface of the resin base to which the powder or granule is stuck under pressure with the inorganic coating. By the method, the powder or granule of the inorganic substance is stuck to the surface of the resin base so that the powder or granule is embedded in the surface of the resin base and physically fixed. The inorganic coating is applied to the surface of the resin base. At this time, since the surface of the resin base is covered with the powder or granule of the inorganic substance having excellent compatibility with the inorganic coating, the surface of the resin base can be coated with the inorganic coating by the chemical action between the powder or granule and the inorganic coating. Consequently the resin material whose surface is coated with the inorganic coating is obtained.
