Device for locating a cutting bar (1) on a specific transport carriage (2) consists of V-shaped guides (9), which are fixed to the cutting bar, and which are fitted on to the guide points, rigidly fixed to the carriage. Locking collars (10) are used to secure the device in place. An Independent claim is also included for a locating method for the cutting bar.
