PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems with organic EL which has many advantages including the feasibility of high-speed display with a high visual angle, bright colors, etc., but has a drawback in the service life relatively as short as about 10,000 hours in a standard display state and therefore the inversion of a lighting part and a non-lighting part takes place when the ordinary display is continued for a specified time but the inversion occurs suddenly to astonish a user and to lower a display effect. SOLUTION: In a specific control and operation state detecting section 4, whether the preset specific control and operation state is attained or not is detected by various control signals of a user and various operation state signals of apparatus and when this state is not attained, standard display is carried out. When this state is attained, a changed display mode, such as, for example, a gradation change display to gradually increase or decrease the light quantity, inversion display or flickering display, is selected in a changed display mode selection section 5 and the display is made in an organic EL display section 13 by this mode. The display is returned to the standard display when the specific state is released. |
