PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach and detach a diffraction grating and also to correctly and easily position it. SOLUTION: In a device for manufacturing an optical waveguide grating, which is provided with placing means 1, 2 on which a photosensitive optical waveguide 6 is placed, the diffraction grating 3 is provided on the photosensitive optical waveguide 6 and diffracts irradiating light, having a wavelength generating the change of a refractive index to the optical waveguide 6, and a grating holder 4 is provided for holding the diffraction grating 3. At least two guide pins 5 which are provided detachably in the placing means 1, 2 and at least two engaging grooves 1d, 2d are provided on the surface facing the optical waveguide 6 of the grating holder 4 and are respectively engaged with the guide pins 5. |
