PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of both-side printing and the control method by which control is appropriately and efficiently performed and the loads of a user especially in the case of printing transferred data on both sides can be reduced. SOLUTION: This image formation device capable of both-side printing is provided with a reception means for receiving output data, a recognition means for recognizing the payment of money required for both-side printing at the time of printing the data received by the reception means on both sides and a control means for performing control so as not to perform even one-side printing corresponding to recognition by the recognition means. Corresponding to the recognition by the recognition means, a notification for urging the payment of the money is given. When the money required for both-side printing becomes insufficient in the middle of printing the received data on both sides, both-side printing is stopped. At the time of performing both-side printing, whether or not the reception data are present for both sides is discriminated and the control is performed so as to receive the other data corresponding to the discrimination. |
