PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a reception antenna in the optimum direction for all receiving channels that can receive terrestrial digital television broadcasting. SOLUTION: The receiving channels are sequentially switched by a tuner part 2, and an error rate during demodulation by a digital demodulation part 3 is stored in a storage part for each receiving channel as a receiving level. The OSD part 41 of a MPEG decoder 4 generates a composite signal in order to display the receiving level for each receiving channel with the installation site of each broadcast station (receiving channel) and its transmitting antenna on a television monitor which is a display device based on a display control signal from a CPU 10. The reception antenna 1 is installed in the direction in which levels exceeding a reference level among receiving levels displayed for each receiving channel increase most.
