PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time for an editing work in the case that materials data for sending are prepared by performing non-linear editing. SOLUTION: An A/V server 1 controls a connected VTR3 to record an editing result prepared by editing materials data on a tape. The VTR3 starts reproduction from a pre-roll point in accordance with a command and a reproduction command for queuing-up to a pre-roll point outputted from the A/V server 1. Subsequently, the VTR3 starts recording video/voice data outputted from the A/V server 1 in accordance with an EDIT ON command outputted from the A/V server 1, finishes recording video/voice data in accordance with an EDIT OFF command, and starts reproduction to a post-roll point. Moreover, the VTR3 finishes reproduction at the post-roll point in accordance with a halt command outputted from the A/V server 1.
