RELEASE AGENT COATING APPLICATION ROLLER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release agent coating application roller which is capable of stably supplying a necessary and sufficient amount of a release agent and hardly gives rise to leaking and oozing of the release agent and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A release oil holding layer is formed by wrapping a felt layer 23 around a base material 22 which is a cylindrical ceramic material. An adhesive layer 24 consisting of an adhesive mixture composed of silicone varnish and dimethyl silicone oil is applied on the non-glossy surface of a surface layer 25 of a biaxially stretched PTFE sheet and this surface layer is wrapped around the felt layer 23, by which the oil supplying roller 12 is obtained.
