PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obstruct the floating on the front end side of turning of an opening/ closing body of an original pressure plate of a copying machine or the like when the opening/closing body is fully closed with a hinge having a free stop function capable of stopping and holding the opening/closing body at an arbitrary opening angle. SOLUTION: In the fully closed state of the opening/closing body 2, a compression coil spring 14 is compressed shortest and a hinge pin 8 exists at the inner end 11a in a turning radial direction of the opening/closing body within a horizontally long groove 11 of a hinge slider 10. A stopper pin 9 exists at and engages with a concavely notched part 16 at the top end within a longitudinally long groove 12. The concavely notched part 16 in the longitudinally long groove 12 is engaged with the stopper pin 9, by which the inadvertent floating on the front end side in turning of the opening/closing body 2 may be obstructed and the entrance of external light into the optical system within the copying machine body may be obstructed.
