PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booster intensively driving a hydraulic cylinder at a high speed. SOLUTION: A first pair of pistons 10 are inserted into a housing 6 retractably. The right edge part of a second input piston 20a in a second pair of pistons 20 is inserted hermetically into a first input piston 10a in the first pair of pistons 10 via a first sealing part 31. A second sealing part 32 arranged in the left edge part of the second input piston 20a is brought into contact with a pressure eliminating valve seat 36 so that a pressure eliminating chamber 40 is formed on the inside of the second sealing part 32. A sealing diameter K of the second sealing part 32 is set to be larger than a sealing diameter G of the first sealing part 31. In the final stage of a rightward advancing shift of the first pair of pistons 10, an input chamber 15 is communicated with the pressure eliminating chamber 40 by means of a communication means 46, and in the final stage of a leftward retracting shift of the second pair of pistons 20, the pressure eliminating chamber 40 is communicated with the atmosphere by means of a depressurizing means 51.
