PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight disc rotor for a brake formed of Ti and a Ti alloy, having excellent wear resistance, strength at a high temperature and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The disc rotor for a brake is characterized by that a surface of a rotor body formed of pure Ti or the Ti alloy is coated with WC-Co cermet or Fe-C material by high speed flame spraying of a flame speed not less than 1200 m/s. The thickness of a coating layer of the WC-Co cermet or the Fe-C material is preferably 50-500μm.
