A plate mold integrated to a rapid prototyping machine accepts material adopting mold contours following heating/cooling by equipment integral in the mold body. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the method manufacturing a plate comprising a single- or multi-layered assembly, for rapid prototyping in computer-generated layers; plate manufacture being carried out in the mold described; and (2) a prototype so produced.
