PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete precharage in a constant desirable state while meeting with conditions of precharge in the precharage for connecting friction engaging elements. SOLUTION: The reaction force of the friction engaging element is estimated on the basis of line pressure PL, the opening area A of a valve for controlling the oil supply to the friction engaging element, and the temperature of the oil, the precharge is continues (S1101→S1102) while the reaction of the friction engaging element is in the specified value or less, and when the reaction force exceeds the specified value, completion of the percharge is judged, and then pressure control is started (S1101→S1103).
