PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotary electric machine which can reduce operation noise level. SOLUTION: This rotary electric machine comprises a yoke, a field section composed of four or more multiple poles fixed at the internal wall surface of this yoke, a shaft 4 which is provided to freely rotate within the yoke, an armature 20 which is fixed to the shaft 4 and includes a winding 21 in which a wire 19 is wound in the double-winding method to a plurality of slots 11 of even number formed extending in the shaft direction at the external circumferential surface of a core 9, a commutator 6 which is fixed to the end of the shaft 4 and is composed of a plurality of segments 16, and a plurality of brushes in contact with the surface of the commutator 6.
