PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment which prevents unnecessary prolongation of the time up to the end of ring broadcast transmission. SOLUTION: The facsimile equipment detects whether a forwarding indication is inputted within a prescribed period after the end of reception of information transmitted by ring broadcast transmission or not. If a transfer instruction is inputted within the prescribed period, received information is forwarded to a registered next destination; but if any forwarding instruction is not inputted within the prescribed period, received information is automatically forwarded to the registered next destination after a prescribed time. The prescribed time is changed in accordance with the number of destinations on a forwarding route of ring broadcast transmission.
