PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolt and nut for an oblong hole capable of being fastened by one person without using a toll such as a spanner and following rotation. SOLUTION: The bolt and nut for the oblong hole is used for holding and fastening a fastened member 1 to a member 2 with a bolt head 6 and a nut 4 by inserting a bolt 3 through the oblong hole 5 formed in the fastened member 1 and the member 2. One of the bolt head 6 and the nut 4 is formed in a slender shape capable of being inserted into the oblong hole 5, and a projection 9 that is shallower than the depth of the oblong hole 5 and has a rectangular shape comprising sides slightly shorter than the width of the oblong hole 5 is formed concentrically with a screw shaft on the surface on the contacting side to the fastened member 1 or the member 2.
