PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treatment agent for polyurethane elastic fibers that causes excellent adhesion, high safety to the skin and excellent fiber lubricity as well as the inhibition of agglutination between fibers, when the polyurethane elastic fibers are wound up and excellent unreeling properties. SOLUTION: The objective treatment agent for polyurethane elastic fibers comprises 95-70 wt.% of a polypropylene glycol type polyol and 5-30 wt.% of a reaction product between the polypropylene glycol type polyol with an organic diisocyanate, where the molecular weight of the polypropylene glycol type polyol is 200-1,500 and the reaction product is prepared by allowing the polypropylene glycol type polyol with a molecular weight of 200-2,000 to react with the organic diisocyanate in the proportion of 50-90 equivalent % of the isocyanate groups of the organic diisocyanate to the hydroxyl groups of the polypropylene glycol type polyol. The resultant polyurethane elastic fiber treatment agent has an apparent viscosity of 50-250 mPa.s at 30 deg.C and a surface tension of 30-45 dyne/cm.
